The most Realistic and the most preferred picture of mine. Nowdays architecture should be based on artist as Pete . I hope Pete make a album of this city , from an other distance. I have downloaded this picture and i wish to have it in my wall. Or going more further , i wish if it would have been real , and me walking on this road , like the peoples in the picture ... and in background of my mind or hearing in mp3 , as i walk : www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcYZxd… ... at this link search the " south side "part ... and "Nico's Theme part one" . Just listen these music and experience what i feel. Of course as watching the picture of Pete.
Any so they ebbed forward, drawn by some unknown and unacknowledged force, both connecting and separating them from those around them. Most still basked under the shadow of the artificial and unsustainable constructs, remnants of a past few remember and even less do so fondly. Pillars of excess and recklessness they stood, simultaneously a tribute to ambition and a hallmark of disparity.
In this, the third level, the old ways of concrete, steel and iron clash with the contained nuclear fury of the artificial sun, now setting to signal the ending of the 12,934th "day". Those privileged with wheeled transport rush back to their assigned spaces, all heading towards the exclusive residential block. Those of lesser birth moved of their own power and volition, legs which freed them but even more so chained them to an effectively blind, short life of indulgence, labor and ignorance. From this, under one of the long since abandoned Official train cars, a man stopped.
Something about this piece keeps me coming back to view very regularly -it really is a superb bit of concept art Pete, such clarity of vision. You have totally nailed the art deco chicago-esque architecture and atmosphere. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi there, i'm sorry, I disappear a few months from here but i'm glad that you answer my comment about The Virgen de Guadalupe" because i like details, and details have a purpouse, don't ypu think, and i'm just want to say hello and Congratulations, your work inspired me....... regards from Mexico.........
Very well done! Very nice lighting and perspective, though the cars seem a little flattened to me(though still well done in detail :3). I laughed when I saw that "Reynolds" sign on the building to the left there since that's my last name xD.
