future city 1 by PeteAmachree future city 1 by PeteAmachree
If there's one thing I love, its making future cities. This is for another game that never made it much past the concept stage.

Oh very nice, and it appears that you looked for inspiration in retrofuturism, it resembles certain ideas of how people around 80 years ago thought cities would be.

Reminds me of Metropolis. Both the 1921 movie and the anime version which I forgot when it came out.

It's a shame that this game never made it past the concept stage, it's a beautifully rendered and imagined piece.

Fantastic work!

This reminds me of Metropolis. The roads that cuts through skyscrapers and zeppelins that hovers around. Simply mind blowing.

Somebody's a fan of Metropolis!

Speaking of which.... if somebody made a video game of that - or something like it (think a WOS game, similar to Red Dead Redemption, or L.A. Noire) my life would be totally, utterly complete.

It's a pity the game you created this for never made it past the concept stage. Just judging from this picture, it would have been a fascinating future in which to immerse oneself. Great job!

Interesting. I like modeling things like this in 3d, and I'm getting started into video game design. If enough people took interest it might be possible to get a new game started based on this.

Really different from what we usually see in 'future cities' pictures. This keeps the gritty details and real-world environment. And that giant wall is a real mind-blower.

Are you familiar with the work of Hugh Ferriss? The architectural style is very similar. I love it.

OMFG.
It's incredible. That's how New Alexandria, the city from one of my worlds-that-haven't-been-written-yet, should've looked like.

Thank you sooo much for that. :)

It's a very nice view, thought I heard once that huge weight of such constructions can cause earthquakes. So I'm wonder if it's possible to see this on the Earth oneday.

Can you tell us, what the game is or it's a commercial secret?

You, sir, are a hero. You're a hero because you managed to make up a perfectly plausible world, one that could truly run by itself, unlike the majority of those we see and admire everyday right here on deviantArt.
